Straight off Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles-based fashion line Amiri recently opened its doors at South Coast Plaza.

The Costa Mesa boutique, founded by fashion designer Mike Amiri, is the company’s second store.

Buyers can expect to view the men’s, women’s and children’s collections in an environment of “iceberg blue marble” combined with “natural tones and white oak furnishings and accessories” against “colorful onyx accents.”

The brand and its flagship store along the famous Beverly Hills shopping street launched in 2014. The son of Iranian immigrants, Amiri attended high school in Beverly Hills before earning degrees from UCLA and Loyola Marymount University’s Loyola Law School.

CNN spoke to James Sleaford, editor-in-chief of menswear magazine ICON France, who said Amiri “has added a real element of luxury to American cool.”

The store in South Coast Plaza, on the second floor of the mall, above the merry-go-round on the first floor, sells clothing, accessories and shoes.

SCP recently welcomed French couture house Lanvin. Founded as a hat shop by Jeanne Lanvin in the late 1880s, the brand sells a range of women’s and men’s clothing, leather goods and accessories, shoes and evening wear.

“These young people are our next generation of leaders and innovators, and I’m glad my son was able to attend the event and learn more about how our teams are working to address important unmet challenges in healthcare,” said Jasmina Brooks, president of Biosense Webster and the executive sponsor of J&J’s local WiSTEM2D chapter. (If that’s what occurred to you, it stands for Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design.)

The WiSTEM2D program will serve 1,000 students locally through outreach programs and STEM events, the company said.
