Bella Hadid Wears Sheer Set Over Hot Shorts In Unexpected Hack

Bella Hadid is back with another unexpected look, and as always, she pulls it off effortlessly.

The fit in question involves wearing sheer clothing. While the sheer trend has only become more popular this year, we often see it in the form of sheer tops and dresses worn over a lace bra or sheer thong. Rarely does the clothing underneath the sheer piece get the spotlight, but Hadid is here to change that.

In her latest Instagram post, the supermodel shared photos of herself in a loungewear-inspired look, featuring a lacy white Bella Venice set. The sheer piece, which featured a pretty floral pattern, featured a cropped tee and micro shorts. And the unexpected styling choice came in the way Hadid styled her bottoms: instead of wearing them over a thong or nude briefs, she layered them over brown hot shorts that were actually longer than the lace shorts, meaning they peeked out from under the bottoms and showed through the cutouts in the white fabric.

Hadid employed a similar styling trick earlier this summer, when she tucked a long red sweater into her blue Daisy Dukes. Instead of hiding the top under the jeans, she pulled it down so that the hem peeked out from under the pants, adding an extra layer to the look.

Choices like these are part of what we love about Hadid’s idiosyncratic personal style, which sometimes leans toward vintage, other times toward preppy or Y2K or ’90s, but always completely her. “I know what I like. I always have, since I was young. And I’ve never strayed,” Hadid, who doesn’t have a stylist, said in an interview a few years ago.
