Logan Paul admits WWE contract to Kevin Durant, shares moment that made him feel ‘like a little boy’

Logan Paul admitted his WWE contract is “healthy” when questioned by NBA legend Kevin Durant about his new deal with the wrestling company.

Paul is one of WWE’s biggest stars and is currently the United States Champion, following his victory over veteran Rey Mysterio last year.

After rising to fame as a YouTuber and influencer, Paul ventured into professional wrestling for the first time, impressing in high-profile matches against the likes of The Miz and Roman Reigns.

Paul received much praise from colleagues and fans and decided to sign a new ‘multi-year’ contract with WWE. After this, he started a viral feud with rival Ricochet.

In late 2023, his victory over Mysterio earned him his first-ever wrestling championship, but that didn’t stop him from challenging the new undisputed champion Cody Rhodes in Saudi Arabia in May of this year.

Two-time NBA champion Durant was a guest on Paul’s Impaulsive podcast in a recently released episode that appears to have been filmed earlier this year.

The topic of the wrestler’s future was broached, with Paul confirming to Durant that he had signed a new WWE contract, saying, “I signed with them, I’m in.”

That piqued the interest of the Phoenix Suns star player, who quickly pressed Paul about what the contract would look like.

The Maverick quickly responded to Durant with the following response: “I want to say healthy, but compared to your deals, I don’t know!”

The 29-year-old has impressed with his willingness to embrace his new profession and the character traits that come with it, currently playing one of WWE’s biggest villains in what Paul describes as a “fantastic performance.”

The pair then discussed WrestleMania XL, the episode of which was apparently taped the day after the dramatic conclusion of the Cody Rhodes v Roman Reigns main event.

The match featured cameos from The Rock, John Cena and The Undertaker in an explosive, adrenaline-fueled finale, with Paul recalling, “I felt like a little boy when I saw that scene. It was unbelievable.”

Durant was eager to see if the veterans still looked good, prompting the WWE newcomer to immediately praise them, adding, “Yeah, man, even Undertaker, who’s 70 years old!

“He comes into the ring, the bell rings, the lights go out. The lights come on, he’s behind The Rock, choking him.

“Lights go out, lights come back on, The Rock and him gone. He was there for 60 seconds, we were freaking out.”

Earlier that evening in April, Paul himself had wrestled at WrestleMania in Philadelphia, where he successfully defended his US title in a triple threat match against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

The match featured a cameo from ISHOWSPEED, who was also featured on the same podcast EP as Durant, who went viral after falling onto a commentary table ringside.
