Tipperary’s Brian Gleeson expresses regret after Ireland U20 rugby loss to England on Sunday

It was a tough day for Ireland Under-20 on Sunday. They were defeated in the semi-final of the Rugby Under-20 World Cup in Cape Town by their old rivals England. Ireland Under-20 captain Brian Gleeson spoke after the match about how proud he is of the team and all they gave.

Ireland lost 31-20 and the man from Tipperary said: “Look, we’re very disappointed. We thought we had a good chance. I’m very proud of my team and the work we’ve done all year, it’s really tough

“It’s pretty clear that they got us in the set piece, but that’s not against our boys, our boys gave everything when they went there. Our boys gave everything, especially in the scrums they gave everything we could. They got us, but look, we can’t do anything about it, we can only look at it and try to get better,” he finished.
